Gears of War 2 “12 Days of Christmas” Event
Beginning today, December 23rd, Epic Games has announced it’s “12 Days of Christmas” event in which they will bestow 12 unusual presents, and a few other surprises, to go along with the Gears of War 2 multiplayer experience this holiday season.
The first day will grant everyone access to the “Noobsaw”, which will turn the Lancer rifle into an unstoppable chainsawing machine which can’t be interrupted by gunfire. The following day will allow one-hit insta-kills for melee attacks, which will apparently continue on with the noob theme. The remaining days, however, aren’t as noob friendly and do get a bit more interesting with the Wingman mode converting to 5 one-man teams on the fifth day and 10 waves of Kantus to fight off in Horde mode on the tenth day. But that’s not all they’re doing.
They’re also unlocking Golden weapons for all twelve days in addition to making all multiplayer matches award triple experience points. So for all those who haven’t played Gears of War 2 in a while, now’s your chance to cash in on what should be a pretty eventful multiplayer week. Just make sure you watch out for noobs!
